Distance Learning Centre, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris was formally known as Distance Education Program under the Department of Lifelong Education & Human Development Faculty ( FPPM ) since May 2010. On 1st April 2011, the name of the center was officially change to Distance Learning Center. This center was created to provide an opportunity for people to continue their education through online learning. During the early establishment, Distance Learning Center offers Bachelor of Education programs for Teachers with collaboration with Bahagian Pendidikan Guru which known as PPG-PJJ Program.

Today, the role of Distance Learning Center has emerge as the center offers Bachelor of Education (Executive) Programs , Master's Degree (Executive) Programs, Doctoral Philosophy (Executive) Programs and professional development programs. The location of our Learning Center are:
